keeping fingers crossed
*tiny squee* From Ausiello about Smallville next season:

Justin Hartley's CW drama pilot, Austin Golden Hour, failed to receive a pick-up this week.

The towering Adonis has a talent-holding deal with the CW, which means the network pretty much owns him for the foreseeable future.

His Green Arrow was wildly popular on Smallville, and fans have been clamoring for the Justice Leaguer's return since the moment he left.

In light of Michael Rosenbaum's impending Smallville exit — Lex bids adieu in tonight's season finale (8 pm/ET) — and Kristin Kreuk's decreased role next season, the show needs all the familiar faces it can get its hands on.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that producers are very keen on bringing Hartley back into the fold ASAP.

Duh. Justin Hartley is (probably) returning to Smallville next season as Green Arrow!

Bweeeee! Oh, I hope it happens. Please, for the love of God, let it happen! And he can get Chloe out of both of the messes(yes, I do mean the Jimmy situation) she got into last nite. And then he can kick Lois to the curb and get with Chloe. Now *that* I would love to see, even though I did like Lois and Ollie as a couple.

Also, Ausiello is reporting that it kinda sounds like Kara may not be back next season. Huh...that's odd. I did like her a lot--I was expecting some terrible acting, but I thought she did a really good job, and I liked Kara. But LV kind of referred to her time on Smallville in the past tense so maybe she won't be back.

It's too bad that they're getting rid of her (if they are) when the character that needs to take the first meteor out of town is freaking Jimmy!

...but apparently, I'm drunk enough for this now.
So, I poured myself some rum for my egregious delightful cocktail of rum and Sprite Zero, and I looked at the glass and there was... rather a lot in there. So obviously, I tried pouring some back into the bottle and it dripped and stuff. And now I have rum on my toes.

...I think that shop assistant may have had the right idea.

Wow, I really am slow on the uptake...
I just now today realized all the titles to Gossip Girl eps were takeoffs of movie titles. LOL!

I guess maybe because I hadn't looked at them all together until I was looking for stuff about the DVD release on August 19th.

I am so not drunk enough for this.
Dear Shop Assistant,

You know what? No, actually. No, I don't carry my driving license and/or passport with me at all times. You know why? Because (a) I can't drive, (b) I wasn't planning on leaving the country during the five minutes it takes me to walk to the supermarket and back, and (c) I've been legally buying alcohol in the UK for nine years. What the fucking fuck? GIVE ME MY BOOZE.

Disapprovingly and entirely not drunkenly yours, dammit,
Refur

PS [info]teithiwr, looks like I'll be on rum and Sprite Zero tonight, since I can't be fucked to find my passport and go back there.

ETA: Guys, please do not talk about 3x16 in the comments! The place to do that is here!

I hope you had the time of your life
I heard this song on the radio this morning and thought it was weirdly appropriate after the season we've had and the emotional exhaustion of last night. For what it's worth, it was worth all the while. *Zens out*

Granted, the station followed it up by playing Lee Anne Rymes' "I Need You" and I came THISCLOSE to posting that song instead. Take the Greenday and be grateful. ;)

Adios, amigos!
Yes, it is the ass-crack of dawn, but I'm getting ready to leave for Door County and wanted to say bye before I leave and mention I'll be back Sunday night.

I'd tell you not to break the internet while I'm away but I'm pretty sure you did that last night.

Peace, love, and bullet-proof marshmallows. If anyone gets that joke I will be AMAZED.

ETA: Sort of spoilery for last night's SPN... )

Weel, it's almost the end of "Warren Bows Out" so we only have to get through this and tomorrow's carnage to take us to next week's exercise in silliness. As we do so, let's all hope that we don't have to endure too much grovelling when Therese shows up again. One Becky is enough.

Panel 1: As she prepares to hustle Warren out the door, Liz says that he could no more give up flying than she could give up being a narcissistic twit with a martyrdom complex.

Panel 2: As he heads off to parts unknown, he says it was great knowing her. She responds by echoing him.

Panel 3: Too bad he spoils the mood by blaspheming against the Sacred Settlepocalypse. Imagine his daring to say that Anthony may not be Mister Right after all. Did he not look on their blandly wholesome love and despair of coming between them?

Panel 4: He compounds his sin by punnily stating he'll be there if she should need someone who might actually leave the Holy City of Milboring. Sure, she smiles politely but secretly wishes he'd end up like the Nazis in "Raiders of the Lost Ark". That's her story and she's sticking to it. She doesn't want him to pine away for her because it gives her a sick thrill to have men dangling on the hook. That wouldn't be nice and she's always nice. Unless you're a cheater or a picky-face, that is.

Hypothesis: We've seen the last of this fellow. The only remaining obstacle is Liz having to endure Therese's pathetic pleas for forgiveness.

Plotting out my viewing for fall....
Obviously this will be updated as I actually see the shows:

Monday:Serious folks, I can't take on anything else this nite
Gossip Girl
Heroes
Prison Break
The Sarah Connor Chronicles
Kyle XY (although, this may be on this summer instead. I haven't heard.)
The Hills (assuming it comes back on Mondays.)

Tuesday
90210: I thought this was on Mondays, so this works out better. Thank God!
Fringe: Although, I will grow to hate this seeing as JJ Abrams is involved
Scrubs

Wednesday:
ANTM
Stylisa

Thursday:
Smallville: Unless it gets *really* bad
Kitchen Nightmares
Supernatural
30 Rock

Friday:
Friday Night Lights: I thought this wasn't back until January? Guess not!

Saturday:
Dude, I'm still catching up from Monday!

Sunday:
The usual Fox animation lineup

I just don't get why they have to schedule everything on one damn nite! For years, there's been *nothing* to watch on Monday, now everything is on there!

I guess I'm gonna have to come into the downloading times....
Or get more DVRs before the fall.

Because, dude...the networks are totally driving me to download with all their damn counter scheduling! My DVR can only record two shows at a time, and I have to be watching one of them. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Kyle XY doesn't come back on Mondays in the fall, because right now I've got Gossip Girl and The Sarah Conner Chronicles going head to head at 8PM, and I can't have Kyle XY coming back there too!

I tell ya, Fox must have it in for me watching CW shows, because of course they put Gordon Ramsey opposite Supernatural!
